Working with Mothers and Babies
Please join Kate White and John Wilks in a professional in-service workshop on working with mothers and babies.
The aim of this course is to give healthcare professionals and manual therapists the practical skills needed to work hands-on with babies and their parents, in addition to providing an understanding of prenatal and postnatal influences on babies’ behavior and functioning. This course is for anyone wanting to work with babies, whether that is lactation consultants, doulas, midwives, osteopaths, chiropractors, manual therapists, early life educators, psychiatrists, psychologists etc. It is a very practical course offering skills enabling practical support for mums, babies and dads. These skills are based around light-touch therapies – simple craniosacral holds and gentle Bowen and fascia-based work. No prior skill in these areas is needed.
